4-H benefit shoot to provide friendly sporting action

Shotgun shooters interested in a little friendly competition should plan to attend the 4-H fund-raising shoot scheduled this Saturday and Sunday at the Brady Lake gun range. The two-day event will feature trap, skeet competition and a five-stand sporting clays challenge courtesy of Charlie Wilson and the Texas Department of Park and Wildlife. Saturday competition will be limited to 4-H shooters and interested youth. The cost for youth participation is $5. Books open at 8 a.m. Saturday and close at 10 a.m. Three age divisions will be used and awards will be presented to the top three shooters. Sunday competition will feature individual and team competition in all three events. Registration is $150 per three-man team and individual rounds of skeet and trap will be $20. Two rounds of 5-stand sporting clays will be $15. Concessions will be available and practice rounds will be held time permitting.
