Rotary Spokes

The Brady Rotary Club met Tuesday noon at the Cafe at the Depot. Student Rotarian Shauna Broz was present for her second visit. She informed the club of her intention to attend either Texas State Technical College in Waco or Howard College in San Angelo. Shauna wants to major in respiratory therapy or be a counselor. Mike Seidenberger was the guest of Connie Locklear; Otis Cox, former Rotarian, was the guest of Dayton Boren. President Jim Ricks thanked the members for putting up the American Flags on Columbus Day. Lee Coffman was inducted as the newest member of the Brady Rotary Club. He is the Assistant Supt. of Brady I.S.D. Lee’s wife, Suzanne, was a guest of the club. Program Chairman, Wadena McAlister, introduced Jane Penn, Heart of Texas Education Co-op director. She informed us that the co-op serves six school districts in two counties, McCulloch and San Saba. There are 500 students served by the co-op. Forty of these special education students will graduate from high school this year. The $2 bill was won by Connie Locklear by being the lucky handshaker’number 8. Up-coming program chairmen are: Mac McWilliams’Oct. 17 and Lynn Munden’Oct.24.
