Norma E. Nix, 92, of Camp Air, died Tuesday, Sept. 5 at Shuffield Nursing Center II in Brady. Funeral services are set for 10 a.m. Friday (today), in Leatherwood Memorial Chapel in Brady, Dr. Billy Spencer, officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery at Camp Air. Born June 26, 1908, in Menard, she was the daughter of John Henry McWilliams and Effie Westbrook McWilliams. A lifelong resident of the area, she was a member of the First United Methodist Church and was a homemaker. She married Jack Nix on Feb. 10, 1925, in Camp San Saba. Survivors include a son, D. Paul Nix and his wife, Connie, of Brady; a daughter-in-law, Myrtle Nix of North Richland Hills; a brother, Wayne McWilliams of Crane; three grandchildren, John Nix of Brady, Katie Turner of Blue Mound, and Karla Gilmore of Fort Worth; and five great-grandchildren, Brian Nix, Erin Turner, Ashley Nix, Stephanie Turner adn Kris Gilmore. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, an infant granddaughter, two brothers and two sisters. Visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday was held at Leatherwood Memorial Chapel.
