Apryl Ann Davis-Burt, 24, of Brady, died Tuesday, Sept. 5 in an early morning blaze at her residence on North Bridge Street. A memorial services is set for 2p.m. Sunday, Sept. 10 in Bible Baptist Church in Brady. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at LeatherwoodMemorial Chapel in Brady. Born March 6, 1976 in Llano, she was the daughter of Jackie Davis. She married James Burt. Ms. Davis-Burt had lived in Brady most of her life. She was a former cashier at Wal-Mart in Brady, and she was a member of the Bible Baptist Church. Survivors include her grandparents, Dub and Ann Smith of Brady; her mother, Jackie Ortega, and husband, Uvaldo, of Fort Worth; her huband, James Burt of Brady; a step-son, Gunter Burr of Brady; a step-daughter, Rebecca Burt of Brady; a brother, Bonald Glynn Nelson, Jr. of Worth; and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
