Letter to the Editor

Dear Citizens of McCulloch County, St. Paul’s Episcopal Church is asking for your help in its sixth annual community-wide school supplies drive for the 2000-2001 school year. The purpose of this drive is to help distribute school supplies to children of families who need financial aid in McCulloch County. We anticipate the cost per child to be approximately $25 again this year. With the assistance of McCulloch County Helping Hands, last year’s drive aided 198 children which was an increase from the previous year. We cannot do that without your active support. The success of this endeavor has been made possible by the donations from churches, businesses and individuals throughout Brady and McCulloch County. As in the past, there will be two kinds of distribution. There will be direct distribution to needy families through Helping Hands and distribution through counselors at each of the targeted schools. The drive is a costly one and all donations are very much needed, and definitely appreciated. Anyone wishing to make a donation to this worthwhile endeavor may do so by contacting Mrs. Dorothy Lafuente at Helping Hands, 597-2646, or Fr. Max Reynolds, 597-1330. You may also contact me at 111 Parkview Dr. or by calling either 597-2358 or 597-1213. Donations may also be made directly at Brady National Bank or Commercial National Bank in the name of the Brady Schools Supply Drive. Thank you for your support on this project. School starts soon. We hope by working together, all students in McCulloch County will get off to a great start. Sincerely, GRANT EVRIDGE Outreach Committee Chairman
