Shirley Pence Joiner, 64, died Thursday, July 6 in a Fort Worth hospital. Funeral services were held Monday, July 10 at the Midtown Church of Christ with David Rogers and Jim Hackney officiating. Burial followed in Bluebonnet Hills Cemetery. Born Aug. 10, 1935, in Brady to W.R. Pence, Sr. and Sadie Davis Pence, she grew up in Brady and graduated from Brady High School in 1953. She attended Abilene Christian University and had been a salesperson for Eckerd’s Drug Company in Southlake for a number of years. Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Johnny Joiner, of Keller; a son, Brett Joiner of Haltom City; two daughters, Tammie Renee Morris and husband, Danny, of Keller and Lori Joiner White of North Richland Hills; her mother, Sadie Pence of Abilene; two brothers, Dale Pence of Floresville and W.R. (Corky) Pence of Houston; two sisters, Mary Lou Adams of Abilene and Ebba Camron of Midland; and three grandchildren, Scotty, Dusty and Rachel Morris. She was preceded in death by her father, W.R.
