The Brady Rotary Club met Tuesday at the Cafe at the Depot. Ben Terry of Kerrville, Assistant District Governor, was a guest. Incoming President Jim Ricks, acting on behalf of the club, presented a Brady afghan to Gabriel El Rhilani, foreign exchange student. Gabriel will be returning to Belgium next week. Jim also thanked those members who helped with the concession trailer at the fire dept. auction last Saturday. Also we will put up flags on July 1. Program Chairman, Mac McWilliams, introduced Mrs. Cathy Lehman who is with “New Horizons.” She said that the Families First Program has helped over 140 children in McCulloch County in the last eight months. The program deals with abuse and neglect. She told us that volunteers, as well as monetary gifts, are needed. The $2 bill was won by Shirley Henderson who guessed the lucky letters in the alphabet. Next week will be installation of officers at the noon meeting. Rotarian’s spouses are invited.
