Rotary Spokes

The Brady Rotary Club met Tuesday at the Cafe at the Depot. President-elect Jim Ricks reported on the resent Rotary District Assembly held in Fredricksburg. We will put up flags Monday, May 29. Program Chairman, Dayton Boren introduced Dr. Richard Lane who gave a report on a recent mission trip to Mexico. He and other optometrists used a clinic that was built by Rotary International. The team saw and treated about 600 people who were in need of glasses. There was also a team of oral surgeons who treated children with a cleft palate. The $2 bill was won by Clay Jones for guessing that a present Rotarian who holds a high jump record in a nearby district jumped 6’8 1/2″. (Brad Bowen in Brownwood) Program Chairman for May 30 is Clair Whitesell. Also, Brown Bag day is May 30.
