Opal Browning, 87, of Temple and formerly of Lohn died Wednesday, May 24 in Clifton. Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 28 at 2 p.m. in the Heritage Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Pear Valley Cemetery. Born Nov. 24, 1912, in Pear Valley to John and Lena Bell (McNeese) Smith, she was the post master of the Lohn Post Office for 39 years. She was a member of the Lohn Baptist Church. Survivors include a son, B.B. Browning of Port Lavaca; a daughter, Peggy Browning Stoker of Temple; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
