Moreno honored with USAA award The United States Achievement Academy announced that Lee Moreno of Brady has been named a United States National Award Winner in mathematics. Moreno, who attends Brady Elementary, was nominated for this national award by Rebecca McCartney, a teacher at the school. Lee will appear in the United States Achievement Academy Official Yearbook, which is published nationally. “Recognizing and supporting our youth is more important than ever before in America’s history,” said Dr. George Stevens, Executive Director of the United States Achievement Academy. “Certainly, United States Achievement Academy winners should be congratulated and appreciated for their dedication to excellence and achievement.” Lee is the son of James and Lori Ann Moreno of Brady. His grandparents are Marie Negrete of Chino, Calif., and Edmund Echeverr’a of Weldon, Calif., and Amelia Moreno of Brady.
