The Texas State Youth Water Camp will be held July 9-14. This week long camp teaches high school youth the importance of water stewardship and uses hands-on techniques and field trips to train students in water conservation and preservation. Students are also shown how industry, agriculture and municipalities are utilizing our water resources. Participants conduct water-related experiments as group projects in areas such as groundwater protection, urban water usage, range water use, the use of saline groundwater and water microbiology. The goal of the camp is to instill in youth a respect for water resources.
