Rotary Spokes

The Brady Rotary Club met Tuesday at the Cafe at the Depot. Rotary Exchange Student, Gabriel El Rhilani was a guest. President Humphreys thanked Mrs. Vickers for having Gabriel as their home guest. Program chairman, Jeanagayle Behrens introduced Mrs. Debbie Vickers who is with the Hospital Auxiliary Board. She told about the Thrift Shop that is open Monday through Friday, 9 until 12, also they have bake sales to raise money. Some of the projects have been sprinkler system, painting, window shades and scholarships. Mrs. Vickers also told about project graduation cost: $10-15,000 for prizes and entertainment. Also she told us about the Ol’ Houn’ Dawg fund-raising campaign. Two BHS students were awarded $500 scholarships by the Brady Rotary Club: they were Kendall Bailey and Anissa Hernandez. Bill Ricks won the $2 bill by knowing that Brady has 62 miles of streets. Program chairman for May 23 is Dayton Boren; and for May 30 is Clair Whitesell.
