John Paul Barrera, 60, of Cleburne, and formerly of Brady, died Tuesday, May 16 in Fort Worth. Rosary was held at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Cleburne Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday (today) in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Father Sergio Rizo, officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Cleburne. Born June 26, 1939, in Brady to Victor and Antonio Morin Barrera, he married Abilda Moreno on June 4, 1965, in Brady. A veteran of the Army National Guard, Mr. Barrera was a machinest for Johns Manville. Survivors include his wife, Abilda; three daughters, Lillian Barrera and Teresa Barrera, both of Cleburne, and Lydia Whitworth of Chicago, Ill.; a sister, Sylvia Garcia of Brown-wood; a brother, David Barrera of Brownwood; and a grandchild, Deryck Barrera of Cleburne. Pallbearers will be Lee Ray Gloria, Dell Cavazos, Jr., Adolfo Salinas, Jr., Rene Maldonado, John Putty and Delphido Cavazos, Sr.
