Voters urged to cast ballots on Saturday

After weeks of campaigning for votes in Brady and McCulloch County, candidates running in the May 6 election for placement on either the Brady City Council, Heart of Texas Memorial Hospital Board or Rochelle Independent School Board will finally get the answers they’ve all been anxious to hear’in or out. On the ballot for Place 2 for the Brady City Council, incumbent Grant Evridge is challenged by Jesse McAnally. Place 3, which is currently held by Matt Mills, is contested by JoAnn Bauch. On election day, voting will be held at City Hall from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. In the hospital election, incumbent Bill Roberts is being challenged by Charles F. Miller for a place on the board for Precinct 3. Polling places dedicated to the Hospital Board election are Precinct 301, Brady Boy Scout Lodge and Precinct 302, Lohn School from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.. In Place 3 on the Rochelle Independent School Board, held by Glenn Stuart, and Place 4, held by Alvin Bolton, both incumbents are unopposed, while in Place 5, incumbent Keith Stuart is challenged by Rufus Beam. Voting for the Rochelle Independent School District will be held at the Rochelle Community Center from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. A voter registration card or photo identification will be required at all polling places for the upcoming elections.
