Business forum hopes to provide assistance for area small businesses

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA), Texas Agricultural Extension Service (TAES) and Angelo State University Small Business Development Center (SBDC) will be hosting a forum on rural business development and financing on May 10 from 5-8 p.m. at the new Brady Middle School cafeteria located on Highway 190. Speakers will discuss the essentials of business planning, marketing and the various financial and technical assistance programs provided by the SBA, TDA, SBDC and TAES. All programs are designed to assist small businesses, agribusiness, producers, manufacturers, ranchers and farmers located in Brady and all surrounding counties. Business development specialists and officials from various banks will be available to discuss business development issues and financing needs on a one-to-one basis. In addition, an agribusiness owner will share firsthand experiences and knowledge on how the programs helped his business. There is no cost to attend. Snacks and refreshments will be provided.
